O Come Let Us Adore Him
I love that word, Adore. What do you think of when you hear the word, Adore? When was the last time you adored someone or something? What kind of feeling is that? Peace, genuine love, admiration, gratitude, awe?
I love the Christmas music and the hymns so much. I love their word choices – it’s so poetic in nature and makes you think about things a little differently.
It’s Christmas Eve and the Sabbath day. I’m going to church to sing hymns of praise and love about my Savior, Jesus Christ. I’m going to go to love, honor, and ADORE Him. I’m so grateful for my Savior. Because He lives I know I can face anything. I can stand tall leaning on His strength and can overcome this mortal world. He shows me what is possible and my soul echoes the words of a favorite hymn:
“I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me. Confused at the grace that so fully he proffers me. I tremble to know that for me he was crucified. That for me, a sinner, He suffered. He bled and died. Oh it is wonderful that He should care for me enough to die for me. Oh it is wonderful, wonderful to me.”
I adore my Savior. I’m so grateful for this special time that so many of us Christians can love and honor and ADORE Him together.
Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS, my friends.
